Ignition Coils / Recommended Maintenance

I have an '05 AR that is currently getting the ignition coils checked/replaced. Got the letter yesterday. So, while here I thought I would have them do the recommended service for 55K. Aside from the cost ($500+), they recommended replacing the spark plugs. I checked my maintenance manual and it does not mention their replacement at this interval. So, my question is this. Is it wise to do now or do I wait? Also, has anyone else had the ignition coil recall done and have any thoughts?

do the recall, then stop GO HOME.
Why would you spend $500.00 without knowing if its needed?
The last scheduled should have been 45K and the next at 55K (2.7T)
plugs houls have been done at 35K and the next at 70K (2.7T)

Yeah, I stopped after they replaced the coils. I bit my tongue but the guy at the service desk was just pushing more BS. After showing him the owners manual which states the spark plugs are not scheduled for replacement until 75K, he then looked me straight in the face and said "well, I suppose we can let you go a bit longer". I wanted to throttle the guy. Then he comes back and tells me I have a ripped CV joint cover. Alright, that happens I tell myself. I am cautious of this guy so I ask to go see it. "Sure" he says. We go out there and what he shows me is some oil that is in the area of the boot but cannot identify a rip or hole or anything else. Alright I think to myself, could be hidden. "How much?" I ask. He retorts with $550. I about shat myself. I have had CV boots rip before on a front wheel drive Honda and I would get them replaced for about $150 at my local garage.
So, after all that, has anyone had to replace the boots and what was the right $$? Thanks, if you made this far.

FIND AN INDY!!
You can do an entire new axle for MUCH less. (under $300.00) You can do the boot for extremely less. (under 100.00).
Dealers don't make enough on car sales. They have to make up for it on parts and service.
My indy whose staff is all Audi University trained charges 90.00/hour for labor and doesn't balk if you supply parts. I just did an entire axle: 199.00 from Raxles.com and 90.00 labor.

Thanks for all the input. Yeah, I just knew that guy was pumpin' me for all it was worth. It was really quite a feat of restraint to not verbally or physically abuse the guy. Anyway, I did some sniffin' around town and found what looks to be a good shop here in Chicago. Spent some time at their shop and they were all car guys who weren't hiding anything. Decent cash discount and were not afraid to recommend someone else if the job was outside their limits. I'll try them for the boot and let you all know if there they are a good shop worth recommending on this site to anyone who lives in Chicago.
