The new member section is not working at the moment, so I'll introduce myself here... I just bought my first Audi, an '01 allroad 2.7t with 94,000 miles on the clock. It is in excellent shape and so far I love it! I have owned many VW's in the past (over 20 of them) so I am fairly familiar with the basics at least. I do most of my work on my cars myself. Currently my other rides consist of an '07 Pathfinder and a '92 VW Cabriolet. I'll try and get some pics posted up at some point.
Oh, and for what it's worth, this style of forum I am much more familiar with so I am a fan of the new setup.
Thanks guys!

Got it last weekend. Love it!! '01, 2.7T, 108k and all the bells and whistles.
Insurance comp. will pick up the old '98 A6Q tomorrow :-( Thank God nothing happened to wife and kids :-)
We loved the A6, but we will sure love the allroad more. Allways dreamt of getting one.
But a couple of times the allroad has, when breaking normally to a stop, made a huge knocking sound around 10-15mph as if the ABS engange but larger so the whole car shakes.
Does anyone have an idea of what it is?
Wife called home so I haven't had a chance to hook it up to the VAG yet, but will do that asap. I'll let you know more when I do.

It looks like an Yaw sensor is not feeling too good.
I just pulled this:
Address 03: ABS Brakes Labels: 8D0-907-389.lbl
Part No: 4Z7 907 389
Component: ABS/ESP allrad D47
Coding: 06397
Shop #: WSC 02325
1 Fault Found:
01542 - Yaw Rate Sensor (G202)
27-10 - Implausible Signal - Intermittent
Besides the very unpleasant noise and shaking is it safe to drive it until I get a new sensor and get it installed?
How hard is it to DIY? Is this the one by the steering wheel or on the passenger side?
Also, has anyone had any help from this repair manual?:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=370175480715
It almost sounds too good to be true.
I have the Bentley manual, but I often reinstall my laptop and having only 1 reinstall each year is not enough for me.
