Default Do it yourself! all you need are the radio removal keys

it took me about 30 minutes. unplug the CD changer cable, plug in the Dension cable, route the wire to the cradle, push the radio back in, and you are done.

Default sure...

you push the cd button a 2nd time and it says:
CDC track 99.

YOu shuffle through the ipod with your steering wheel buttons.

Dension has not figured a way to get the Ipod Info to display on the radio ...yet. They say they are wroking on it.

Default Allroads don't need the radio code so long as you keep the same radio in the car btw...

The radio code isn't necessary if you keep the same radio, since there's a "verification chip" in the car that the radio recognizes. You'd only need the code if you switched radios -- I had my radio out for quite awhile as I tried to figure out the perfect placement for my iceLink (pics in my sig) -- the radio worked fine when I plugged it back in.

One note: make sure you unplug the radio when you're plugging in the iceLink -- the radio needs to completely reset by losing power in order to recognize that there's a "new CD changer" attached.

Default It took me 10 mins

I disconnected power from the back of the radio and did not need to re-enter my code. I have the Symphony II with the in dash changer and it was all plug and play.

Default What year is your allroad?

If its 2001 or 2002 you don't have to remove the headunit.

Default Re: Installation Recommendations for Dension IceLink

Just talked to Royal about the radio removal key and they do not sell it or "lend" it out.
I will try Best Buy or Circuit City, but if they do not help me, does anyone have a sites to purchase the key online. I would rather go with someone that is recommended, rather than google it.

Thanks.
