Instrument cluster graced by illuminated self-leveling light

The self-leveling light came on steadily on the first drive after having hand-washed the car three days earlier and never driven it since. Do you think there is a connection - I haven't yet scanned for codes?
No corners are sagging, suspension relay under the dashboard comes on and goes off as usual. Ah, and the compressor doesn't sound any louder than usual.
A search of this forum brought up a few instances when dealers indicated to allroad owners having the same issue that a steady self-leveling light could be caused by "condensation" (sounds a bit vague... but that's what I found).
Obviously I'll keep an eye on it to see if the light stays on or goes away during my drive home, later; but if you have any tips to share for this very slightly mechanically inclined allroad owner feel free to share.
