Default ISO: "Direct in" satellite radio for ARs

Looking for the best/preferred way to put sat radio (Sirius) into my allroad. My wife got me the Audiovox kit but Im not interested in installing anything that uses an FM transponder or the cassette-based interface into the stereo.

Are their any better solutions out there?

Default Re: May I sugest that you send it back and get a Fat Box.

It will pay for it self in a year of no subcription fees. That's what I did. Wife likes the idea now because she has all her CW on it.

I have an Xm commander with a blitzsafe input into the head unit. Press the cd button twice and its right in. Works great.

The unit also powers the xm unit, but basically provides an RCA input for sat systems, and mp3 players if you wish. A simple ab switch.

XM$150
Blitzsafe:$100
30GB creative MP3:$299\
Intall: $75

Compared to Phat box and installation, its versatile, and all digital goodness. Phat box is nice, but I like music in my office, on the plane, etc, and the new nomad zx goes everywhere.

Im sure the blitzsafe works for your sirius.

Default Re: Blitzsafe connector ?

What is the interface between the Blitzsafe and the sat unit?

Got a good URL for obtaining a Blitzsafe?

Default i never thought of that!

you can use a single blitzsafe connector and swap between your ipod or xm radio?!?!?! that is great! do you use a switch to control which on is used, or do you just plug in the device that you want to use?
