Jam Straight "Hyper Bright" LED Bulbs Scam...

Ordered a set of the Jam Straight "Hyper Bright" LED light bulbs from www.2kracing.com the other day to use in my brake lights. Received and installed them today. Upon inspection it appears that they are NEARLY NOT AS BRIGHT as the regular bulbs. Called the retailer to arrange the return. They want to hit me with 35% re-stoking fee!
Should I just call my credit card company and dispute the payment?

...a product called Jam Staight "Hyper Bright" LED bulbs from a vendor called 2kracing?
I guess this dispute depends on if the product was marketed "as bright as" or "brighter than" stock. What is the salient benefit that you were after anyway?

The newer style '100 degree' bulbs, not the 30 degree type like you bought from dam strate.
The 100 deg bulbs actually make use of the lense reflector, and therefore actually appear to be puttingout light. The older kind, due to the 30 degree range of light, never even touch the reflector, so they're marginally better than an assemply of little lasers.
I'm betting they will continue to improve, but the one's I bought work well. THey are still not quite as bright as the stock bulbs in the tail light housings, but the front corner and sidemarker lights are fine and the brake/tail/signal bulbs are also fine.
I tried the kind you recieved from a local shop, saw that they were useless, and then installed these, along with all the appropriate current draw adapters so everything flashes correctly and the car is happy (no false bulb failure warnings).
See the pics below and judge for yourself: The rear fog light is OEM, for comparison, as is the third brake light. Oh, and the reverse lights are higher wattage versions of the stock bulbs (but not halogen)

regular bulb to light up (the filament has to get hot) and 1t takes 0.01 sec for an LED. During 0.2 sec at 60 mph car travels 18 feet. I would rather have a driver behind me to start braking 18 feet earlier in an emergency, you know...
