K2 Audi, I was at the dealership and could not warm up to the Q7, What do you find compelling about
#4
Well.......to give a long answer to a short question.......
First, We (wife and I) really like the Q. We like the refinement and that it drives more like a traditional car than any most SUV I've driven, even a bit sporty, plus it has Quattro. It's a little pumped up with the grill, wheel arches, and long hood but also has a sleek coupe like roof line to it. The interior is about as good as it gets: materials, fit, and finish (still like the ar's a little better though) The size is about right for us as well. 2 kids, bigger dog, and all the gear that goes along with a family of 4. Has the towing capacity of 6600 lbs (snowmobiles and a camper).
My wife currently drives a Volvo XC90 and the Q is very close in size so that is not an issue for us. I know some folks bought the allroad as an alternative to a more traditional SUV, but the allroad falls short in that dept. for us sometimes, especially on extended weekends that we often take to the E. side of the state. Her Volvo has given us nothing but problems since day one and I think that helps in our decision to unload it for another vehicle. We looked pretty much at most vehicles in this size and they always seemed to us to fall short in what we liked and wanted. The X5, ML, and T-reg's cargo area's are way to small. We really do not like any of the Domestic or Japanese vehicles in this size range.......for one reason or another.
Is it the perfect vehicle? by all means no, but it has a pretty sleek aggressive look, a sporting ride, it's quick, top notch materials, fit and finish, a lot of gool gadgets (I'm kind of a gadget geek myself), and it will be a pretty rare rig to see on the road.......not unlike the allroad.
and to girlroad's point, being the first to get to do the Audi European Delivery I'm sure has a little to do with it. ;-) JMHO
oh, and yes, my wife really likes it.
