Key fob went through the washing machine! Is there any hope it will work again (electronically)?

Put it through the dryer!
To get rid of moisture, but do it on low heat. That should do it.
If you then press the key and it opens the washing machine door, your remote has been lost to the automotive world...

I doubt it. Went to a water park with mine and went swimming with it. The electronics were fried. Go
to dealer. They should replace it no charge, as they did me. Don't forget to bring you other keys as well or they can't reprogram.

Once ran an electronic meat fork thru the dishwasher and .....
after it dried out for 5 days it worked fine. Set it aside for a week or two --- you've got nothing to lose.
