Default Key remote batteries
The battery in my remote just went dead again. I seem to get about 6 to 8 weeks before needing a new one, but I am not using it more than 4-6 times a day. Is this normal?

As a comparison, I think I have changed the battery in my wife's remote for her Subaru once in 5 years.

Default mine were dying at that rate, eventually dealer replaced the transmitter
and this set has gone for more than a year.

Default 3 mos max out of mine
I take it in about every 3 mos to get fixed. They say it is the battery but I don't believe it.

A4 fob: Original battery (5.5 years, 57K miles) allroad fob: 3rd battery (21 months, 25K miles)

1-2x/year replace betteries. Same size as my bike computer so I have many on hand!

My wife's remote for my car goes dead about the same time as well, and she rarely uses my car. If there is a problem with the remote, then it exists in both of them.
