Default LATCH update... WOW!

For those with kids... the latch retrofit is DEFINITELY worthwhile. My car seat is ROCK solid... and doesn't budge.

Do you just call the dealer, said you want the latch install, and they will do it free for us?

Default Hey there RMcQ... not much to post pic-wise, but...

all you do is get a short seat-belt like "LATCH" retrofit from Babies R Us and use it so secure the seat to the LATCH thingys in your seat. Then use the upper tether to tie the upper part of the baby seat to the back of the audi rear seat.

Obviously, the standard seat belts were made for comfort for adults and they don't really LOCK in place... the tension belt with the LATCH system completely locks in the car seat to the chassis of the car, making it essentially a part of the car.

I'm waiting for my Recaro child seat before posting pics... :-)

Sounds great. Is there anything protruding when the child seat is not there?
