Default Leak - white smoke with burn smell around engine bay..

i think this is common problem for all 2001 2.7T allroad, wondering..what to be fixed? anyone have a oil leak part list ?

oil return lines, valve covers. turbos.. you need more info.

Default change return line and valve cover gasket..and what else?

thx so much..., shall check detail..when the air spring is changed sometme wihtin the week

Default i'll second that opinion - and add valve cover gasket.

my b5 s4 and 2001 allroad both had bad cam seals on both sides of the block. valve cover gasket isn't a bad place to check either. both cars had that issue around 80k. j.

Default Also have a little smoke and a burning smell (oil?) on start-up

It's coming from the drivers side, rear part of the enging compartment. Can't figure out from where exactly. As we all know, its impossible to see anything past the cam covers.

Drove it from SF - LA - SF this last weekend and the problem occured only twice.

Anyone experience the same problem? My AR has 82K on it.

smell of burning plastic..or petrol chemical..not excatly sure..but white smoke..
