I'm going through this problem too. Smoke from the engine bay after the car has been parked for a while (more than 4 hours)... Once the engine warms up, oil burning smoke comes from the turbo. So I'm guessing its a slow oil leak dripping on to the turbo.
So far I've (my mechanic really) replaced the rocker cover gasket and the cam seals. Neither of these fixed the problem, so the cars going back to the doctor next week. My mechanic has just bought a little video camera that can look into just about anywhere, so hopefully a fix is near. He said the oil is coming from the top half of the engine.
Any one else had/fixed this problem??
Thanks
Mark

Yep. Took my 2003 allroad to the mechanic last week. After removing most of the plastic covers from both the top and bottom, he could see oil seeping from the back of the driver side valve cover gasket. Call your dealer and ask how much to replace the gaskets but, be warned. Be sitting down! My dealer wanted 1200.00.... I have decided that a little oil leak is normal on English cars so, why not a little on my German baby?
