Default Lights on all over!

OK, I have an 01 allroad. I went to do a simple cleaning of the AIRFLOW METER. After I did that, I thought I mayt as well change the oil as well. Before I drove the car up on the ramps, I thought I would check to see if the check engine went out with the cleaning I did to the mass airflow. ( I used denatured alcohal and let it dry) I started the engine and as I reved it a little, all the lights came on. The check engine is still on, the ABS is on, the antiskid(is this esp), the lights showing the suspension up down in the instrument cluster, the airbags will flicker and finally go out(same as before). I don't know what this is or why it has happened, any ideas? Thanks, Brandon

Default You're new here right? Good stuff inside from Paulroad and others>>>

I'm not being flip it's just that he knows a bunch and more importantly hemore than willing to share of his time and experience as are a number of folks here...did you try the search I suggested? as this is a common problem and I'm thinking that IIRC it has been
steering angle sensor
brake sensor of some

I couldn't get the URL to come up on the search for some reason to paste in here but that search brings up about 10 pages of stuff...here's verbatim what I found from Paulroad in one of them....he's probably still in NYC traffic about now

"you may not be. In most any case, there is no urgency unless the light is staying on all the time.

The brake light switch is IIRC a 15.00 DIY item.
The rest is VAG Scan search and find.

Don't bother with the dealer unless you have no faith in a good AUDI trained indy in your area.
A dealer is used to thowing OPM at the problem regadless of whose money it is.

Othe culprits: Steering Angle Sensor, Compressor system, ABS Module and wires galore.

" end of quote from old post...

I still recommend searching as there are numerous theories on this syndrome.

PS, some actually "listen" when I post and they're pleasantly surprised.

Where are you located? For instance, I'm in Boulder CO, and could scan you gratis if needed.
