Default A little DIY shift **** repair. A possible solution for those broken tabs....

Started with a an old **** (thanks Ali) that I recovered with some ultrasuede. **** didnt have the normal 4 tabs at the bottom that allow you to use a clamp to secure it to the shaft, so when I found it today, I looked at it and said there has to be an easy fix for this. Went to the garage and started digging around. Cut the tip off of a tube of silicone...too thick. Then BOOM...the sharpie (I like pen tube fixes as I used one a while ago to fix my visor clip

Took some measurements and broke out the dremel and plastic weld and went to town:

Used the dremel to thin out the inner walls of the cap to get the diameter as large as possible without breaking through the walls. Here is what I was left with:

A little Krylon Fusion matte black touch up paint with a brush on the glue and all done.
