Default longest wearing tires / best value for stock 18 rims?

It's time for new tires, rather not replace the nokian wr (around $270 each)
Will be driving car in snow (tahoe) and also (mostly) on dry roads above freezing

Dont want to deal with separate snows and no space to store wheels/tires

What do ppl recommend?

Ideally get a price online, and either order thru local tire shop or have them sent there and installed

Need to start some searching here (on this clunky forum)...

TIA

G

2nd on the Goodyear Triple Treads. I put the Assurance TripleTreads on last January - 7 months and over 12K, no visible wear. Plus, they have an 80K treadwear warranty - no other tire meets it! (and as a bonus, they do great in rain, slush, snow, and respectable on the dry!)

I recently installed these tires on my '01 S4 Audi replacing A/S Pilot Sports - twice the winter traction, comparable 'bare' performance at half the price - best bargain in a tire I have encountered in years and the guys at Tire trend were fantastic.

I got Nokian WRG2s for $190/tire, pretty happy with them so far.

Same here have had them for going on 20K, look almost new and are wearing extremely well, will easily make it 30K+. But I'm running 17s.

2nd the MXV4s. I'm in Boston and never had an issue with these in snow or rain. I've been in some pretty serious snow and never missed a beat.

I really like the triple treads too. Had them for about 30k miles so far and they still look good. Supposed to last 80, but that will never happen.
