Anybody have this problem---99% of the time driver's seat is solid, quiet etc. However, every so often, always upon entering/existing a corner or quickly changing direction I hear a click/pop noise and it seems like my driver's seat is moving a tiny bit.
Its almost like the seat is firmly connected to the floor, but just not as tight as it should be. Doesn't happen on every corner, and not every day. However, just about the time I forget about it/stop wondering, it happens again.
Any ideas? I'm in Friday for 5,000 mile schduled service and plan to bring it up. What do they do at 5k anyway? I assume change the oil and general checkup?
thanks for any suggestions

now it says service! So, I am not planning on paying a dime for it unless I opt to move up to Mobil 1 for oil change, which I'm thinking about.

. . .my 2003 2.7T ar had this issue, the driver's "bucket" had to be replaced -- all day job apparently.
Nothing that is "visible" is changed but it is a MUST DO if you have this symptom.
I thought when they said the bucket seat would be replaced that I would be facing a seat that wouldn't match anymore -- no worries, the entire mechanism beneath the seat (the "bucket") is at fault.

I get my car serviced when I want (which is every 7,500 miles) -- this means of course that I pay for 25% of my "excess" service -- thus far, oil changes happen in my car @ 7.5K and I use Mobil1. Of course I do pay the "up charge" for the Mobil1 every time.
I'm at 26K miles on an '03 2.7T 6spd -- virtually trouble free (other than the On*star problem on day one through day eleven of ownership).

...as Cobalt and was going to mention it at the service dropoff next week (10k). It'll be good to have the background info.

The work was done at my dealership, Northland Audi in Cincinnati 513 859 5900 (service advisor Jim Whelan).
No biggie -- diagnose, order the part, replace the part -- two trips, however; one for the diagnose and one for the actual installation.

when coming to a hard stop, the seat tilted. could also rock it back and forth.
looking at my work order, i can see that part 4B0-881-107-D seat frame was replaced, 2.5 hours of labor and the above part were used to fix, no charge.
