Default MAX requested boost?

I'm getting a max requested boost of 1080 mbr(15.664psi) at 5680rpm, ran in third gear.Is this considered normal? The actual delivery is 1300 mbr(18.855psi) Although I haven't checked all hoses, the N75 valve has the proper resistance 30.9 ohms.
Of course I get 17965 fault.
Thanks for your thoughts on this

My car boosts at 1500 mbar at 5,280 feet (elevation). IIRC

if you are getting 18.8 PSI, I would think you are chipped.

Keep in mind our motor makes max boost at 1800-4500 rpm.

I guess I didn't remember correctly. I'm not chipped so mine should be lower.

Default The VAGCOM baseline is 1000 mbar (idle)

So you need to subtract 1000 from the actual reading. That should give something more accurate.

requested boost can't be 1080 mbar if you are giving throttle - thats basically what you should be at idle/off throttle/
in the 5K RPMs in 3rd if not chipped requested/actual boost should be b/n ~1600-1800 mbar

IF you are chipped - actual boost goes over 2000+ mbar

here is a conversion tool mbar into PSI --->>>>> http://www.sensorsone.co.uk/pressure...onversion.html

So whatever mbar you get minus 1000 (1000 mbar is atmospheric pressure)...

So 1800 mbar actual is 800 mbar boost = 11.6 PSI of boost

Hope that helps

You can also type "1800mbar to psi" into google and it will give you the conversion.

I have no problem with the mbr-psi convertion but thanks. What I can't figure out is why the ECU is requesting so little boost at WOT.If the ECU's error is due to a sensor? If so which one?I know some ECUs use a vacuum line to determine engine load,do, you know if Our ECU operates in such manner?
Thanks again
