Default 2yrs/up to 100k miles after the original warranty or date of purchase if the orig warr was exp.

$50 per vistit fee, which dealer can waive but rarely does, and no trim parts or wear items covered really.

Otherwise it's 'bumper to bumper' mechanically/electrically and in order to issue it the dealer has to make sure the wear items are IIRC, within 50% of wear. Otherwise brakes and tires must be replaced.

Good warranty, and certainly good to have...

Default Update 02/08 - Looks good.

Sorry for the delay. Everything checked out great, but somehow I still don't feel so good about it. I'm trying to let it go and enjoy my car, but easier said than done.

The compression test revealed 185 - 200 psi per cylinder. The leakdown test was between 2% and 4% per cylinder. The bearings looked good and unharmed...sorry if the terminology isn't correct.

Both mechanics agreed that 2 minutes of running (with hardly any driving) immediately following emptying the old oil was probably not enough to raise the temperature or cause any harm....they thought enough lubrication would be left throughout the engine to protect it for a short period of time.

Thanks again for all the advice and input.

Default

So you got a free 'Audi Assured' warranty, at least? I hope?

Default Congrats! Free warranty?

I didn't expect them to find any damage and I'm glad it worked out that way for you.

Cheers,
