I could apply brakes without the 'shrudder' from braking... I thought it was a problem in my 00 A6 2.7T, and had hopped that 4 years later they fixed the problem- but very dissapointed....
I was just about to post a question around this... might got the zimmerman and Bobcat pads to see if it makes a difference.

I agree with you on the SS lines. If I had known the performance would not have changed, I wouldn't have done it for sure. I guess SS lines would be the right choice if I were doing a bunch of track days, but for street use, not worth it.
I'll look into the pads and rotors (eliminate the easy things first). The dealer says 6-9mm remaining on the pads. My biggest problem is still the 2.5" of pedal travel before anything happens.

Took the car to indy shop number 2. The tech adjusted the pedal free play at the push rod from the pedal to the master cylinder...travel problem solved. Brakes now engage where I think they should. Should have done this before installing SS lines and saved $250!
