More radio help needed - The wiring diagram for the OEM CD changer cable calls for certain wires to
be inserted in certain locations in the wiring harness for the Symphony II. However, I found that there are already wires inserted in those locations (I don't have any other external audio equipment).
Should I just splice into those existing wires? Could the satellite radio connections possibly be taking up those spaces?

Hooking up a Phatbox to a 2004 with Symphony II, using OEM CD changer connector (with the square VW
connector) for the glovebox that goes into the back of the head unit.
It seems like the pre-existing wires taking up the slots I need are for the XM, since I unplugged the XM module in the back, tapped into the pre-existing wires, and now the Phatbox works.
Only problem is I'm hearing a terrible buzzing sound, and I'm still trying to figure that out.
Any ideas?

Nevermind - tapped into the existing wires (which STFA confirmed my suspicion were being taken up by
XM.
Then solved the buzzing problem by unhooking the XM module in the trunk.
Phatbox works like a charm now.
