It's been doing it for a while, but it's started to get worse lately.
It's somewhat rpm dependent but cuts out after ~3k rpms, and disappears after the engine has heated up a little bit.

Mine makes the same noise as the second video only when cold. I don't think mine is as bad as yours is though. I Think its coming from something inside the air intake setup.

I do have similar noises on my car. The first video sounds like this to me:
Which best I can find is the SAI pump. I'm still not sure why it kept running after the car was keyed off, but now I'm getting a CEL code for it.
I have also heard a noise just like your second video on occasion, although not quite as loud. I agree with Nick it is only when cold. Maybe this noise is also related to the SAI system?

The first clip sounds like a SAI pump.
Is the noise in the second clip the same thing? It sounds very different. I hope it's not the oil pump in the transmission. How does it shift?

I have a 2.7t and the air pump just started going bad. With mine, however, the noise doesn't increase or decrease with engine RPM! My Volkswagen pumps, when bad, the noise didn't increase or decrease when bad either. All sounded like a jet engine only for the first minute or two. You may have a bigger problem.

Anybody found a solution for this? I'm having a similar problem. Started to be a 30-40 second noise when start, and would shut off, however now is constant, and getting louder. I though it was the SAI, based on several posts addressing noise issue, however I just took the SAI off yesterday, but the noise persists. The cars runs adequately, rather smooth, and accelerates great, so don't think is related to the turbos. Up to this point besides the noise there are no other indications of something going wrong.
Appreciate any ideas.
