Default Great Job! The 710N BPV is an inexpensive must-have mod for the 2.7t.

The stock bypass valve (BPV) isn't all that great at managing turbo boost and wears out quickly. The 710N is a stock Audi TT valve which works much better for the 2.7t. Other companies make good ones, too, but they're quite a bit more expensive.

Default My V8 rebuttle

I have an 04 4.2 with 95k.I bought it in October of 05 with 194 miles and it was CPO'd.
The first 50k was driven by both my now x and I.
She was not very good about getting tires rotated. The originals(18") lasted 20k plus.I replaced them with Pilot SportA/S.That set was replaced at 50k+.I put another set on and they are still going.(religous about rotation)I just now did the front brakes.I still have the front factory wipers.I did have the tranny fluid changed.
The problems which where all fixed under warranty
1)Hatch release button
2)2 cv boots
3)oil leak
4)Brake lite switch
5)rear brakes
Other than a few nicks the car looks great for this many miles.I never tire of driving it.I average 1k a week so I get alot of seat time.My complaints are the obvious.Mileage/mods.To me it sounds like the 4.2's are built better.I guess no replacement for displacement.lol

Great job and first rate info. I love this car more each day. I look forward to doing some mods when warr. is up (9/2008) and I hope I can call on your knowledge and experience. Thanks again, hope to get together sometime to hear about your Discovery ownership experience.

Default Outstanding

Ski season is coming which coincides with driving season. I wouldn't want to own another car. (Except for one of them '10 TDI buggers I saw in Europe last month.)
