Police chief agreed to drop my ticket if I took a class
It was my first offense, so I called the chief and asked whether he could do anything to help me avoid the points. He offered to drop the charge altogether if I completed a class. The class cost more than the ticket, and took a whole day, but I did it and faxed him the completion certificate. He dropped the ticket.
