Default That doesn't sound too healthy, don't have the Bentley here, but will follow up tonight.

Just curious, did hit anything on the road?

Default Ignore implausable's for now, usually just a glitch.

Sounds like your torque converter crapped out, semi common problem, Take in for warranty.

Default Re: Ignore implausable's for now, usually just a glitch.

No Warranty - 60k

TqConverter code is intermittant and we are discussing in a thread below... seems a few others are having the issue.

The level control thing has been happenning for a while - no effect on operation but the code come back every day.

The Yaw rate thing has been happening since day one the ESP kicks on at weird times in the twisty's.

Default No impacts. Car in very good shape and well cared for.

See my response above.

My Bently is off line so I cant look up the yaw rate thing... I would like to replace the bad sensors in the ABS and Level control... if I knew which ones.

Default No warranty? ouch. Needs a converter. Implausables could be a bad height sensor

Had one go bad and threw all kinds of codes. Could also be a wheel sensor. Front height and wheel sensors seem to be a modestly common problem

Default Uber.. at 60K...there is a good chance AoA will help out..

You need to call Customer service at AoA.. and politly explain what is happening and you love and history with the brand.
AoA may do 100% the may do 75% they may do 50-50. But... from what we have seen on the boards.. the will do something.. if you ask as its out of a dealer's hands.

Default Well I'm going to have the dealer officially VAG it and then we will see.

The converter locks just fine as it has always done but ocassionallyt this error happens - does anyone know the duration of the failure required to show this error? 100ms 50ms ??? Just curious.

Default Geee....that is a lot of Information just from the Bentley, too much to post here.

But to get you started here are some copies of the Bentley output.

18032
Exhaust relevant malfunction from Transmission Control Module (TCM)

Note for malfunction P1624:

MIL stands for Malfunction Indicator Light. Once the Engine Control Module (ECM) recognizes a malfunction that adversely affects the exhaust emissions it switches the MIL on.

The MIL is switched on only by the Engine Control Module (ECM), since the ECM has the only connection to the MIL..

Malfunctions that affect the exhaust emissions can also be recognized by the Transmission Control Module (TCM), These malfunction are also indicated by the MIL.

Once the TCM recognizes a malfunction that adversely affects the exhaust emissions it sends a message to the ECM, the ECM then switches the MIL on. Simultaneously, the malfunction P1624 stored in the ECM noting that the MIL is switched on due to a transmission problem and not because of a engine problem.

17125
ATF level not OK or incorrect torque converter installed

Pressure Control Valve -N218 mechanically faulty
Problems with ATF supply to Pressure Control Valve -N218
Torque converter pressure pressure valve faulty.
Torque converter clutch valve faulty.

01542
The input signals received by ABS control module (w/EDL) -J104- are processed by internal programs and tested for plausibility. The program used to test the signal from sender for rotation rate -G202- is based on the signals from steering angle sensor -G85- and sensor for transverse acceleration -G200-. If sender for rotation rate -G202- is suspected to be the cause of the malfunction, first check that steering angle sensor -G85- and sensor for transverse acceleration -G200- are working properly.

- With vehicle moving in straight-ahead direction (v < 20 km/h), check zero position of steering angle sensor -G85- by selecting Function 08 "Read Measuring Value Block", Page 01-189 , Display Group 5, Page 01-203 .
- Check sensor for transverse acceleration -G200- as described under Function 08 "Read Measuring Value Block", Page 01-189 , Display Group 5, Page 01-203 .

And this goes on for pages....you'll need a Bentley if you are out of warranty IMHO. It's worth it.

Default You just reminded me, Stearing angle sensor is a goody.

Alignment or new tires or a big enough jolt to the front end knocks the stearing angle sensor off slightly and causes a bunch of codes as well, yaw control being one of them.
