<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/102263/boost_gauge.t.jpg"></center><p>Finally, here's a pic of my new boost gauge.
It took about a whole weekend to do most of the work (soldering and installation). It was a bit tricky but I was able to do it on my own. I had the machine shop at work make up the drilling jig (CAD drwg supplied by IMP) for the gauge face. That made all the difference in the world for me. A real nice $600 soldering iron (from work again) also made the soldering a snap.
I bought the kit from www.impconcepts.com. I was the first allroad'er but not the first Audi. The instruction for their B5 S4 is almost exactly the same for the allroad. My only regret was I opted for the 25psi instead of the 20psi. Even with my planned mods, I won't be hitting over 20.
From what I can tell it's fairly accurate. My car is chipped to 1 bar, the boost gauge shows around 14 psi during steady acceleration. I can sometimes see boost spikes as well. Overall, I'm happy with the gauge and I really like how it fits seamlessly with the car. It was a bit pricey but, hey it's only money.
If anyone wants to go this route, I have the drilling jig to loan out.<ul><li><a href="http://www.impconcepts.com">http://www.impconcepts.com</a</li></ul>

The most difficult more like tricky was mounting and soldering all the leds. There were a couple of instances I thought I totally blew it but then it was fine.
IMP will do all the work for you, you just send them your gauge cluster. It's big dollar and you'll be out of a car for a week or so. BTW, allroads will not run without a gauge cluster in it.

That does sound tricky.
Does the bentley manual cover the dash dismantle or did you feel your way? I see squeak and rattle chasing happening in my future.

It's running great since I found the source of the boost leak. Twice at the dealer and those boneheads didn't find the problem.
How's your car running?
