Brown just dropped off a pair of Hoen H9 xenonmatch plus bulbs. I installed one of the bulbs, wearing gloves and being very, very careful not to let the cone of the bulb touch anything. Right after I installed the bulb I walked to the front of the car to compare the new hi-beam to the old hi-beam, as I was looking at the bulb it got dimmer and dimmer, until about 15 seconds later it was out. The bulb lasted about 30 seconds total.
Just sent Hoen-USA an email, hopefully they will warranty it and hopefully they wont make me pay another $10 in shipping.
on the 'bright' side the bulb did look really nice for a few seconds :P

I twisted the back part out but broke off some of the plastic and still couldn't get it off to replace the bulb. When I talked to the dealer, he said you have to pull the headlight housing out the front side in order to reach the back side. I checked our manual and it says....see the dealer to change a light bulb.
(I feel so stupid for not being able to change a light bulb....)

it is a pretty big pain. I have done the clear corners mod though, and changed the turn signal bulbs a few times, so I have gotten pretty good and pulling the lights out.
Look for RMcQ's clear corners right-up. Once you get teh headlights free and out a bit you flip the two metal retaining springs on the back and remove the black plastic cover. Then the bulbs are pretty accessible. Next time I do it I will take some pictures and post something...

I think we have been through this before. They really are not that hard to change. The only thing I can think of is that you tried to twist the bulb out at the wrong spot.
