My whiny wife would rather drive a Saturn VUE due to rear seat height
Does anyone know the measurement from ground to top of the rear seat in an allroad?
I am trying to convince my wife to let me trade her VUE (which I detest) for an allroad. She thinks the allroad would be too low for her to lean in to buckle our son into the carseat.
Please don't ask me how anyone could prefer a VUE to any Audi. I have to live with her.

The reason that I drive the allroad is that I am too old:) ground clearance #'s >>>
and my knees are bad to get in and out of car that is lowered...I set mine on level two to get in and out, but have put it up to level three or four for elderly (more so than me relatives to easily get in and out of....the ground clearance is how the allroad is measured on each of the levels but if I can get a woman out of top heavy, ugly, tip over, roll over boring appliance I'll go out tomorrow and measure it on each level at the rear seat (see says and will regret it at 25 below windchill so if anyone wants to volunteer who won't freeze to death that would be good too)
Out of the 2005 brochure the ground clearance numbers are level 4 = 8.2"
level 3 = 7.6"
level 2 = 6.6"
level 1 = 5.6" (loaded)
I will say that I have lifted kids and now grandkids out of Dodge sedan then Dodge minivan <don't ask> Honda Accord, Chevy Blazer, Chevy Suburban (multiples of this, again don't ask) and now the allroad and the allroad is by far the easiest, unless you are talking about the infant seat issue and then all bets are off as I am only ok with them on the side and the middle is an issue because I have the ski sack/bolster that could come down...search and you'll see a bunch about this, but if you are talking toddler and up the ar is by far the easiest I have found...you have great maneuverability, little rollover risk when stupid people do stupid things <which they will> and eight air bags...good luck.

just pump it up. That what I do when I have to get something heavy out of it.

I believe the latest Vue is based on the Opel Antera, so at least some German heritage...
Like many others, I think the only way to resolve this is for her to drive both cars and see. If she isn't blown away by how much better the allroad is to drive, an SUV of some kind probably makes more sense for her.
