Got hit in the driver's side today, fortunately we are all are OK. The car is an '02 6sp with 74k miles. It looked like the frame was bent inward at the point of impact, and the rear axle was broken. You can see where the anti-intrusion door beams did their job. I am pretty sure I don't want it back, although I am not sure what I can replace it with. Thoughts?

I was wondering if anyone had to have their frame straightened and how much it cost. The retail value of the car is only around $20k.
Unfortunately, we will likely need a car very soon. I don't think we will find a manual 530xiT anywhere around here and the S4 is too small.
Hate to say it, but we may be ending up with a minivan if the car ends up getting totalled.

I had someone hit me five years ago when I was driving a Suburban and it took the front all the way back to the firewall...it was totaled due to frame damage. I wouldn't have felt safe driving it. It is nice to see that the allroad held up pretty well in a situation that many cars can't handle.

Ouch, it is great to hear another survival story. My girlfirend just got crushed by DUI driver in our A4. I know I don't want it back. The slightest impact could have moved engine components, due to the tight tolerences there you would never know until too late. Let us know how tings work out. Good to see another Beamer rider out there with Audi on the stable too. Hey if they give you the choice let me know I would be interested in the wheels. When I bought my '01 the wheels are in bad shape and the look of yours is slightly different from the RS series.
