NE1 also have this problem... when I pop my hood with the radio on...
the radio mutes. My rnse is a later upgrade and I'm wondering if this issue is just a wiring thing.

I'll check my RNS-E later today for this. Isn't there a switch in the hood latch...
which tells the car effectively there is a door open? I remember this thread about a month ago when hood was not latch it could cause the alarm to go off if the car was locked. Similar to locking car with a window rolled down and then motion sensor going off.

Hood Scoop: ne1 have it? It is too hot in the engine compartment. I wish they built-in a hood scoop.
