Default Interestingly I have NEVER gotten an Audi to run without the MAF plugged in.

I have seen a bunch of bad maf's this year, mostly Bosch due to age, BUT, I have seen a couple of Hitachis go.

Default RobSo and I had JBo's allroad running with MAF unplugged at his house. Didn't run well, and dash lit

up like a x-mas tree but it ran.

Default I think the major factor for the MAF is the RPM and the boost pressure. Mine is round 200. If an air

leak post-turbo and the boost pressure being OK, then the MAF should be higher than normal, and it will come with rich condition. If an air leak pre-turbo will make the MAF lower, and it will come with lean condition.
17545 and 17547 are rich condition at idle. I think skidmark's suggestion should be checked first.

The hose is new and connected. Maybe I should check the regulator pressure?

Default The code is for idle condition, (Add) load is multiplicative(multi)

your problem is not while running down the road but at no load such ad idle, still could be MAF sensor.

Default thats true. I never get the code under load. Usually after coasting down.

not much load. Wondering if the FPR is not holding or a very small vacuum leak. I'll make another run and check block 211 and pressure test the system. Thanks for the insights and analysis..

Default The bosch maf'd s4s run well without the maf plugged in. The sensor fails so often that it becomes

common for many to just unplug it...

Default here is my block 211 values. A definite difference from map value

to MAF value. Just cleaned the MAF with Carb Cleaner will make another run. So is the consensus a bad MAF if cleaning doesn't change things or should I still pressure test the system?

Default Well... cleaning only works half the time. What are your MAF readings at idle?

Flat out in 3rd gear you should be close to 210 220 gps.
