Default new rubbers and a shaved ***

my dad liked the double spoke wheels that were on his old(now mine) allroad, and i liked the normal AR wheels, so we took the two to discount tire to have them swaped.

however, this morning we noticed his pass. rear tire was low, and he also wanted to get that checked. as it turned out, there was a big ol screw in there, and the tires were worn beyond the point of just replacing 1 tire. so he got the double spokes, and i got the single spokes, and some new yoko yk520's.(the new rubber) i would have rather researched tires first, and purchased online, but what are you going to do, it needed some new tires. im reading some reviews online now, and if they appear to be really bad, i will take them back.

then i debadged the AR.(shaved ***)

Default I just debadged my new ride also, makes for a nice clean look.

Folks that know this model will still know it's an ar, those that don't know what it is don't need to know.

Default I've had the yk520's on since May '07 or so. No problems. 60k mile warranty is killer.

Atlanta has pretty mild weather of course so I can't comment on snow conditions, but I've had no issues in heavy rain.

Default I bought those YK520s lst year.

And returned them. I found the traction to be terrible all round. YMMV.

**** it. keep'em guessin.

I hate it when people try to measure you up like that.

plus it looks cleaner/better. those little chrome badges don't add anything imho.

Default ....

i find a debadged hatch just looks so much cleaner and smooth. did it on the a4 and loved it, why not do it on the AR

and most of the reviews ive read about those yokos are pretty positive, but i havent really found any reviews about them in the snow...which is what im really curious about.

Default Maybe that's why they placed them their, draw the eye towards the shiny chrome badges instead
