Default Nice floor jack for your allroad....

I just picked up this Roush Racing brand floor jack from my local Sam's Club for only $74.00. 3.5 ton capacity and speed lift option. It's so much nicer than the Craftsman 3 ton jack I returned.

Is that a little rubber pad in the center of the foot?

Default perfect timing, I was heading down to

Sears tomorrow to pick up a 3 ton floor jack and an air compressor to join the air tool club (Fathers Day present!). What do you like about the Rousch jack and what didn't you like about the Craftsman?

Default The Roush jack is twice as heavy and has an extra long handle.....

The release valve is also built in to the handle unlike the sears 3 ton jack.

Default Our local Costco...

still has a floorjack that I got last summer for about that price. It has a super low pad so it can get under just about anything, but the best part is that it has a double pump system. It lifts twice as high on each pump stroke as most jacks do. Best floorjack I've used, and I've been wrenching for about 30 years.

Default I ended up with the Craftsman 3 ton, crawler and 2 2.5 ton stands for $89...

On sale before Father's day... This craftsman jack sure is heavy. I like the rubber piece on the Roush jack. I taped some old carpet on mine. kind of rigged but it works well.

Default Where can you get pads, saddles, and cradles that protect your car

I have different cars that have different style lift points.

The allroad's emergency spare jack has a narrow cradle (?) on it to lift at the jack points.

Tire dealers don't bother using these types; they just put a flat pad style arm underneath the lift points.

I'd like to find different pads and adapters for my generic saddle style floor jack. You know, the kind that chew up the pain on whatever frame rail they touch.
