To keep it simple: We have blower and air is moving from upper to center to lower vents (when using the buttons) But no Heat. I'm guessing that the outside air control flap motor or the temp sensor? Any one dealt with this as a DIY?
Thanks Mark.
Thanks Mark.

One suggestion - if you have had any recent cooling system work done, you may have air in the heater core. Just did the TB on my A6 and it took some high RPMs to get the air out of the core and then I had instant heat.

Also, how long has it been since you've replaced your thermostat? They seem to die at about 100k

We haven't had a coolant work done, and the motor temp is running right were it should. But I'll try burping the coolant system.
Thanks
Mark.

You know Kris, after owning an allroads for 8 years, it wouldn't surprise me. As a side note, now that the outdoor temps are back above Zero we are getting some heat. Im going to try to burp/bleed the cooling system today.
Thanks
Mark.

for a lack of heat are the climate control vanes (flaps? doors?) not moving properly, and reduced coolant flow through heater core due to cooling-system crud.

Feel the heater core hoses in the engine compartment to make sure they are getting hot, if one is hot then no heat is going through the core, if both are hot then your problem is in a blend door/flap. If you have heat in one hose then check the vacuum actuated heater valve in the hose, make sure the vacuum line is on & no leaks. You could hook a vacuum pump up to the valve as well to see if you can get heat.
