Default no takers on my mudguard question below?

I asked the dealer how much it would be to install them and if he could deal on the price compared to clair. $110 labor and no deal. Says they have to drill holes. Is this true about drilling holes?

Default I did mine. I don't remember drilling holes. Heat them in a bucket of hot water aids installation.

They are a VW part that works on several models. You have to remove parts of the fender liner to find the holes. I don't recall that much trouble. I linked to a A4 tech article. I searched the allroad section but the only good (https://forums.audiworld.com/allroad/msgs/40865.phtml) post I could find the photos wouldn't show.

A4/S4 mudflap tech article

Default no holes need to be drilled, you just need to puncture the liner with an awl or the like

I microwaved mine for 15 seconds to make them more plyable, worked out very well

Default I read that article and was going to ask if it was similar for the A6

I will order them from clair and decide when I get them whether to attempt it myself.

Thanks for the input everybody.
