Nokia car Kit & Motorola phone

We did an out of car "bench test" on this hybrid match before installation & all functions worked between the Motorola V3 phone & the Nokia CK-71 car kit. No cradle was installed (the phone works on bluetooth only) so no need for extra aerial but no phone charging. I'm not often in the car long enough to need to charge & decided the cigarette lighter chager would be enough when needed.
The bluetooth fires up when the ignition is turned on & "Phone" comes up in the dash & sound system.
Calls made, recieved, sound system mute, call redial, even voice command calls all worked fine. haven't tested data transmission or reception yet.
The only funtion that didn't work was the volume control on the car kit control. Signal doesn't seem to get to the phone. So volume needs to be controlled from the phone. No problem really as the mute connection mutes the sound system when a call is made or if one comes in & volume can be controlled from the phone.
One problem discovered only after installation. There's an echo on the receivers end so I'll get the tech to look into the reason for that, if it's fixable & post result.
Any comments welcome.

Microphone placement is critical so chcek that it's not an accoustic echo. I'm not sure this is an option on the v3 but Try disabling the "encryption" if possible to eliminate Bluetooth echo.
You should know that some kits and phone are not compatible - the echo could be there for life. IN which case I would say dump the nokia kit and go to the Motorola or parrot (which I suggested before).
Good luck

Thanks Uber.
Do you mean echo caused by feedback when the microphone is too close to the speaker? Atm the microphone is mounted on the top of the steering column below the dash. The speaker is in the foot well.
I'll try the encryption thing.

different kits will react differently it is sometimes trial and error.
There are two kinds of echo in these kits;
Acoustic: Where the mic is too close to the speaker
Digital: the DSP of the kit is not working correctly with the phone.
