Nokian WRs 245/45 18 Review (vs. Hankook Icebears)
Since this topic comes up all the time thought I would share first 1000 mile impression on the WRs - I just got a set of OEM allroad 18 inch rims (which really do look great on the allroad I must say) and ditched the 17 inch twin spokes.
On the 17s I had Perilli P6s, Falkens, and Hankook Icebear W300s. The Icebears were my favorite.
The WRs are louder than I remembered - I have only had them on 17s prior though. The handling in wet and dry is very good - it has a very stiff sidewall. No snow yet in the Northeast so a report to follow after the first decent snowfall. So far a 7.5 out of 10 for an all season. (Most point deductions from noise)
Now I will say the Icebears were much quieter and handles almost as well in dry and about the same in wet. I found the Icebears to be very good in the snow.
For the money I will probably get the Icebears over the WRs in future winters.
