Default O.CT Stage 1

Anyone have it? Thoughts? I'm looking at putting the Stage 1 in with a Tip chip as well... cat back rs6 after that... then done. So I can keep the warranty.

Default I am doing the same thing....

add H Sports, DVs and the air filter.

I am driving up to Stratmosphere, 350 miles each way, at some point soon for ECU and tip chip.

Default stock filter with a hole in the box will flow enough air for 500+hp ...

- basically the B5RS4 has an airbox with a flap that opens under higher boost / load to get more airflow (by cutting a hole in your box you are basically doing the same thing)

- search "darin intake" on the B5S4 forum (every single high hp S4 until very recently is running this setup - some now have an open element filter sitting inside a carbon fiber shield but trust me when I say, keep the filter stock (you MAF does not like oil) and there is nothing you can do to your car that will require more airflow) - I have one of the highest horsepower S4s in the world and I'm running a stock filter with a hole cut into the bottom of the box - I also have one of only a few K04 Allroads and I'm also using this setup

- save your money for HSports, Stoptech brakes and K04 turbos

Have you dynoed without air filter? You can make 500+HP w/a 55 mm MAF, still not a good idea though.

Default I'm saying at some point stock air filter is going to be a restriction. You could be losing 30 hp

because of it, or none at all(hence without air filter comment). Since you are pushing so much hp you might be getting to the area where the filter is a restriction. I know the guys have been running dyno test without exhaust(cutouts) at EPL, just was curious if there was any air filter restriction(hp loss) tests.
