Just bought an '04 allroad that did not have the rear CD changer. I purchased an OEM that was said to be compatible but I don't see clearly how to mount it or where to plug it in. Any experience on this?

Only 2001-02 allroads had the wiring for the rear CD changer, so you will have to install the cable. This cable should be what you need; does this plug appear to match the CD changer? Also the changer should mount in the metal bracket on the left side of the car that also holds the tool kit.
Although I agree with G0to60, what head unit do you have that does not have the changer built in?
