OEM rims vs DobleSpokes ones
I'm going to buy an Allroad full equipe except the Doblespoke Rims. Reasons: although theese rims ar more beautiful, they are more dificult to clean, get mud between spokes, are atractive to be stolen, not possible to exchange the outer spokes, and maybe weight more than OEM. Anyway both have the same size.
Can anybody confirm this?
wheights of OEM and DS ones?
thanks

Re: OEM rims vs DobleSpokes ones
If you're interested in the double spokes, they really aren't that hard to clean. I use spray cleaner, and a very nominal amount of brushing when I wash the car. I also wipe them down a few times per week in between washings which may help. They always look great. (I know, I have the new car fever. wonder when I'll start sleeping in the house again?)
Anyway, they aren't that bad. Granted, I don't drive in a lot of mud and muck except for winter snow.

Another option
Depending on where you live you might consider getting the standard wheels and put the $950 savings towards the purchase of a second set of aftermarket wheels of your choice. At some point I plan to do this and put dedicated winter tires on the standard wheels - maybe go with some better handling (18 inch?) tires for the summer. With Audi's you must deal with lots of brake dust, and say what you want but the double spoke optional wheels have some surfaces that are not easy to get at. They are very nice looking but somewhat overpriced IMO.
