Default Oil Pressure Warning Question

So while in traffic yesterday the oil pressure warning light goes off in my information display. I pull over, top off the oil (it was maybe a quart low) and the warning is still there. Is their any consensus about what this may be? A bad sensor or some kind of catastrophic failure? There is plenty of oil in the engine and the car had no other symptoms as far as I could tell. It is a 2004 4.2 with about 70k miles.

Default Resolved.

Apparently it was a bad sensor next to the oil filter, not the one in the oil pan.
