Default Oil sensor

Yesterday, I was between Santa Fe and Denver, in the out-back of northeastern New Mexico zipping along I-25, when the oil pressure warning light came on with a cheery beep. The manual says to stop the car immediately and check the oil and if it's full call the dealer. Ah, the beauty of cell phones.

The service guy said that if the oil's full, then it's probably a "goofy sensor" (goes with the Mickey steering and Pluto wipers?) and not to worry, they'll replace it next time I'm in for service. He didn't say what to do about the almost-heart-attack part.

Anyway, the oil was full and the light didn't come on again, and I got to Denver, 250 miles later, just fine. Maybe it's like the phantom "check engine" light. The oil light was the only symptom (no temperature changes or weird noises) so I'm going to not worry, as best I can.

This, along with the other idiosyncracies, is another little thing to file away in your personal allroad databases. HPH

Default You can lose the "Mickey" steering if you'll pull the 605 Servotronic relay...

My ar steers fine and after the first wiper collision and subsequent repair they work fine. BTW, I LOVE SANTA FE!
