Hello to all,
Just searched through 8 pages of info and still have a question before I head to the stealership........ I got the p0741 torque convertor code today (still under warranty 02 allroad), but for a week prior I had a bad vibration at 22 mph through apprx 65mph. Can the vibration be related to the code? The stealership performed an alignment, new tires and the "high tech" wheel balance to no avail. Please help as I don't trust these guys one bit. Thanks in advance...........

ATF level not OK or incorrect torque converter installed
And here is a little flavor (breaks down to a few dozen pages) of what they'd have to attack should leveling the ATF not do the trick:
37 - Automatic Transmission - Controls, Housing
Topic title - click to see the topic with the search terms highlighted
9 Selector lever mechanism, controls
6 Transmission, removing and installing
6 ATF, checking and changing
3 Transmission, disassembling and assembling
6 Transmission shift elements

this the 17125 VAG code... Torque converter failure. The things that rally nut mentioned are possible but I'm telling you right now - it's the TqC.
The vibration ~may~ be related so I would move on and fix the TqC and go back to the vibe.
