and causing the problem? It seems to hold find in 1st and 2nd and I don't get this problem in 1st and 2nd. It shows up under WOT full boost in the fattest part of the torque curve in 3rd and 4th gear. It doesn't always happen, but I can reproduce it at will with a try or two.

I can't see how a clutch would cause ESP problems. it would slip and lose power to all the wheels. I'm guessing it doesn't do it when ESP is off? The sensors do have a finite life as do all the components on a car. Do you have a wheel diameter problem? Check tread depth, and wear patterns, check inflation presures,and check alignment, handling gets funky when the toe is off. Otherwise I think its a sensor, Monitor the output wheel speed and see which one is the problem.

You'll need to do this on a lift or something. Rotate wheel by hand and watch waveform. Still not definitive as you can't drive while doing this though, usually the waveform will shhow a slight irregularity.
