Default Hey Sam. Do you feel that there is any chance that my clutch could be slightly slipping

and causing the problem? It seems to hold find in 1st and 2nd and I don't get this problem in 1st and 2nd. It shows up under WOT full boost in the fattest part of the torque curve in 3rd and 4th gear. It doesn't always happen, but I can reproduce it at will with a try or two.

Default I would think that you have a wheelsensor dropping out.

I can't see how a clutch would cause ESP problems. it would slip and lose power to all the wheels. I'm guessing it doesn't do it when ESP is off? The sensors do have a finite life as do all the components on a car. Do you have a wheel diameter problem? Check tread depth, and wear patterns, check inflation presures, and check alignment, handling gets funky when the toe is off. Otherwise I think its a sensor, Monitor the output wheel speed and see which one is the problem.

You can't monitor the ABS measuring blocks in motion. Sux.

Default is it possible.. you are actully slipping a tire?

With your power.. is it happening on a straight line? On a turn? Does it happen with ESP off?

Default no way. Dry roads, heated T1rs, straight line 3rd and 4th! gear. No way.

I'm not making that much powAh. yet. This is big news for those of us in the mid-atlantic area especially.

Default Do you have an ocilliscope? Check for square wave out put from sensor

You'll need to do this on a lift or something. Rotate wheel by hand and watch waveform. Still not definitive as you can't drive while doing this though, usually the waveform will shhow a slight irregularity.
