Default Passenger Side Mirror Dipping Down On Reverse

How do you adjust the passenger side mirror on reverse?
It's currently working fine but it dips down to low.
I want to readjust the settings.
I've read the manual but does not help.
I've tried different ways but no go.
Can anyone PLEASE reply a Step-by-Step "How-to"
I hope this helps me and the other Allroaders too.
BTW, I have '03 2.7T Allroad if that helps...
Many thanx in advance...Cheers!!!

Not sure I understand your question but, the passenger side view mirror is SUPPOSE to dip down upon reverse to help you see and not nick the wheel/tire when parking.

When your car is in reverse, and the mirror has dipped down, adjust it to the position you want. Then leave it there. It will be "memorized" and will return to that position the next time you put gearshift in reverse - if the mirror adjust **** is set on right mirror setting.
Hope that helps.
Some of our cars require that the mirror adjust **** be pushed and held about 2 seconds to set memory, so try that if first option does not work.

Look, wanna be Cyber bully, If you read closely that is not what his original question is/was. It reads, " It's currently working fine but it dips down to low" as in dips to the low position, not because it dips "TOO" LOW.. As in excess or too much...

Does all allroads have this function?
Mine do not dip the mirrin on reverse, I even tried calibraing it with the car running, in reverse.

German car, without the electric folding mirrors.

There's your culprit, You have to have electric folding mirrors in order for the passenger side to dip when going in reverse.

Thank you for your quick reply.

HUH, I am a new owner, 2002, and do have the power fold in mirrors. My Passenger side does not dip down when in reverse. I wonder if the previous owner set it all the way up or something. I'll have to go mess with that.

I think you have to have the mirror button set to the right to have the right mirror dip in reverse.
