Default Get 'em...

If I didn't have a second set of wheels (on which I'm going to put Pilot Sport A/Ss, as soon as I get the wheels un-dinged), I'd probably run the M2s year 'round, they're so good. They're better in snow (and other winter stuff, glare ice included) than anything I've ever driven (and that's a lot) except studded snows. [Blizzaks have more aggressive tread, but they're only Q-rated.]

And, except for a little tread creep/wiggle, they're as good as the P6s on pavement. In particular, they're wearing way better than the Pirellis. I took those off last November at 7K miles, and they're about 2/3 dead. The M2s now have 10K miles (of identical driving), and they're less than half gone.

I wouldn't hesitate to take the M2s anywhere I'd take the P6s (or any other tire but real truck gonzos for that matter). HPH

Default Cool. I would be concerned about burning up the M2s on a spring trip to Moab

I was there last weekend and it was 80 degrees and I was wondering how they'd hold up under warm conditions. Probably just wear a little faster.

Default Good point...

I've done a fast U-turn on hot pavement and left visible tracks with 'em. I try not to do this. HPH

Default Having driven on both I'd say the Pirellis are much better of the two, but I think the Bridgestone

S-03 are even better than the Pirellis on the highway. The Goodyear roll over onto the sidewalls very easily in cornering. The Pirellis run flatter and corner better. The S-03 even more so. I usually ran the Goodyears at their maximum tire pressure to compensate. I haven't taken the Pirellis off-road yet, so don't know how they compare to the Goodyear off-road. I didn't feel much difference between the S-03 and the Goodyear off-road.
