I just hit it at a right time. The auction ended like 5am EST or 2am PST when US folks weren't watching the end.

610 is too good to be true and you wasted time finding that out. Your not getting a quality RNSE for less than 1200. Next time someone might take the money and run so consider yourself lucky.

I saw at least 1 other from the same seller go for $1200. It wasn't like it was a 'buy now' for $610.
Reading on the nav-plus/instructions page, it discusses eBay as an option. It didn't state BEWARE BEWARE, THESE ARE ALL SCAMS. Why not take a stab at one to potentially save $600 or more? It stated a warranty and wasn't from eastern Europe.
STRAIGHT FROM NAV-PLUS:
Typical Costs:
Navigation Plus system from eBay: $800 (with large variation)
GPS Antenna from Midwest: $115.00
Map Software: $299.95
Radio Removal Tools: $20.50
VagCom: $199
Misc cables and parts and other costs: $50
Total: $1,484.45

plus sellers on NAVPlus bundle everything together:
I bought mine almost 2 years ago for no hassle for 1450 delivered.
RNSE
Harness
radio tools
Map/Software
Mag GPS antenna
Did not include VAGCOM (which I have) or the two hours to put it in.
I guess my point is what is your time worth to screw around with a seller that (you know now) is working the system?
I use eBay all the time for stuff but some things that are in short supply and vary in quality I would not risk it. I had a young man with an S4 in my driveway 3 times trying to help him with an issue on his 2nd RSNE from an eBay seller (first one had a problem) that the seller warrantied but the second equally defective unit he was not - and it cost him to ship it back for the first exchange. Proxus, Haagie and SteveZ1 test there units prior to sale and document any cosmetic or functional issues so the buyer can make an informed decision.
Your in a place that has a massive brain trust on all things allroad and Audi - use it.

I went your exact route and finally ended up buying from SteveZ1 and having TeddyB do my harness. Worked perfect, not a single problem and they are endless avenues for help if you do hit a snag. Both can be found at NavPlus.us. Trust me once the unti is in and working you will forget all about how much it cost.
