I'm going to drop the car in the spring using the 402, but I've searched the archives and haven't gotten a good idea of how low I should go. I'd like it aggressive, but not crazy low. I'll be using 18" wheels and 245/45/18 tires.
I'm thinking maybe 15mm in front and 10-12 in back. Will that make a noticeable difference?
Thanks!

down 15/12 in summer, back to stock for winter.
the car gets softer and wallows even more in the corners, but that was offset by the lower center of gravity and higher levels of ultimate grip.
best thing to say is to try it, see what you think. you can always put it back if you dont like it.

About 17/13 lower, but I keep it in level 2 most all the time. level 1 when I want to look cool :-P
It rides and wears best at the stock height.
But it looks way better lower...
Often I will raise it up 10mm above stock for snow and trails.
If you have an allroad you NEED a Vag-Com, I change my ride height quite often.
Just have to try out different heights and see what you like. 10mm does make a noticeable difference...

What he said ^^^. I didn't like it, though. And ultimately decided I don't think it looks...
cool either. JMHO, TEHO, etc. I ride at stock height, but have 20mm H&R DRA spacers, and the look is perfect. Curvature of fender flare matches perfectly the curvature of the tire, and they're close, in level one but don't rub. Looks great in level two as well. Granted 402 is free, but I think spacers are a better way to go. Lower center of gravity through wider stance, better ride because you're not slammed.
I never took pics. Gotta do that and post em here. Maybe this weekend.

I did the "390" mod. I raised it 1 inch, so level one rides at level 2 height
to keep the alignment correct. It eliminates the stoplight pumpup, rides at the correct height with no up and down and farting around from the car. Plus with 255/45 18's, it's almost unnoticeable.

This is 10mm front & 8mm rear......
I'm going to try 12/10 for this summer. The ride was stiffer but it may be related to the 100 load rating tires I was running.

the "390" mod.
I drive in 2 now almost all the time. I was doing one on the interstate when I first got the car but was getting fast wear on the outside of both fronts...even with the car in alignment and level heights spot on. On my 15 mile drive to and from work @ level 2 I get the stoplight pump-up at least once if not twice. This is a great idea.
