Poltergeist seat

I'm having the weirdest problem with the electric driver's seat in my 2001 allroad tip. Occasionally, it will while driving be moving around - it's almost like it's moving to a different memory position.
I took the car in a couple of weeks ago, when strangely enough, one of the cells in the battery collapsed as they were pulling the car into the service bay - and they replaced the battery and thought that could also have been the reason for the seat poltergeist. However, it is still happening occasionally even with the new battery.
Needless to say, but that is extremely annoying and also potentially quite dangerous.
Has anyone ever experienced something similar, and what was the resolution - if any?
thanks,
Klavs

One of your memory buttons is loose.
Set ALL of them 1,2,3 and 4 and then see if the move happens.. If it does then the probelm may be a seat switch, if not then by process of elimination.. setting the seat memory buttons one at a time.. you will find which is faulty.. if any. It could be the brain as well.
