Hello to all

a friend of mine has a very early (5.2000) allroad 2.7T with tiptronic, buyed in 03.2002 with 15000 km.
Until now the car has run just about 30000 km, but at 20000 km the gearbox lost oil. I don't know the american term - in german it was a Simmerring that was leaky. Additional the car had from the first day a kind of jerk foreward and backwards driving at about 45 mph. It's a factory known problem of the early allroads. Therfore the front driving shafts and software of the gearbox were changed, now its less and changed to 60 mph. :-(

One Audi dealer told that the Simmerring-problem ist known because the gearbox gets to hot.

My Question: Is here anyone who had problems in that way, too? I don't need a solution of the problems, I just want to know wheather there are other allroads that had early problems with the gear box or may be other parts of the car.

...but had both the front axels replaced, along with the TCU.
