Default Re: wow, pricey "warm weather package". I see now why that option is so rare.

Thanks for posting that. I've got a 2001 with identical options. I've also got the 3rd Row Seat (and Tip on steering wheel, but that might be part of one of the packages).

The Warm Weather Package is, frankly, something I can't live without now. When I hop in any of our other cars after they've been parked in the sun they're like ovens. The allroad might get warm, but not even close to hot.

Default by the way: get your VIN Vehicle Data from a dealership

My dealership, Stammler/Boulder, recently printed out my "Vehicle Data" based on my VIN. It's four pages long, not like a window sticker, but it shows in detail what is "with" and "without" on the car.

It also contains the production date and delivery date. Now I know my allroad's birthday ;-).

Just a tip for those interested in what shipped with their car.

The inside looks like a moonroof: whereby it shares the same material has the headliner. The moonroof tilts and slides.

No charge. I had mine in for (a ton of) service and asked on my way out. But I can't imagine why they'd charge for it in any circumstance.

Curious, but how does it work? Does a fan exhaust interior air via the tilted sunroof?

The A/C Heater fan is always on. Moves hot air from inside to outside. Car always smells great.

Default Oh yes, it acts just like a sunroof...tilts and opens it is just when it is closed you can't see out

hence solar sunroof...not a moonroof Unless it was open at night of course.
